True Happiness 2003/3/12
from Matthew 5 (Luke 6.20-23)
Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor;
the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!
Happy are those who mourn;
God will comfort them!
Happy are those who are humble;
they will receive what God has promised!
Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires;
God will satisfy them fully!
Happy are those who are merciful to others;
God will be merciful to them!
Happy are the pure in heart;
they will see God!
Happy are those who work for peace;
God will call them his children!
Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires;
the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!
真なる幸福とは マタイによる福音書 5（ルカ6 20-23）
心貧しき者は幸いである。
神の国は、あなた方のものである。
嘆き悲しむ者は幸いである。
あなた方は、神によって慰められる。
心つつましき者は幸いである。
あなた方は、神が約束したものを受け継ぐ。
神が望むことを真に行おうとする者は幸いである。
あなた方は、神によって満たされる。
憐れみ深き者は幸いである。
あなた方は、神によって憐れみを受ける。
心清き者は幸いである。
あなた方は、神を見る。
平和のために尽くす者は幸いである。
あなた方は、神の子と呼ばれる。
神が望むことを行うことで迫害を受ける者は幸いである。
神の国は、あなた方のものである。
「心貧しき者」とは、挫折や苦難によって苦しむ者、自らの小ささを知る者のことです。
